I love going to Kara’s Pilates class that I cannot imagine skipping a session! I have been addicted to some form of cardio exercise for over 30 years, but now I am also addicted to Pilates. I love how Kara is able to tailor your workout according to any physical limitations you may be experiencing. Kara,
You have such a passion for pilates. I have enjoyed taking your mat class for the last 9 months. I have seen a huge improvement in my balance which was compromised from surgery. I enjoy the small class size which allows you to customize the exercises based on issues or injuries. I now incorporate much of what you teach into my daily life to avoid injuries as I age. I can't imagine not having pilates as part of my exercise routine.

Plain and simple- Kara Gant and pilates have changed my life. A year ago I tore ligaments in my back after too much and careless, wrong exercise. After 2 months of therapy and at the point where I could move without too much pain, my chiropractor suggested I find a Pilates class. I've always known that strengthening my core was essential to recovery and leading a life without back injury; I just didn't realize how much I didn't know! Timing happened to be perfect because Rising Sun was just opening.

Kara took the time to understand my injury and actually spoke with my chiropractor (who incidentally was so impressed with Kara that she is now a Rising Sun client). After a few private lessons where I was able to learn basic techniques I was ready for group sessions, although "group" session is a misnomer since Kara is actually watching and correcting each individual for their particular weakness. I have never experienced an exercise class where the teacher takes the time to know each person's physical weakness or injury and is knowledgeable enough to know how to customize the workout- and does it without fail every class.

I now take pilates concepts with me through my daily life. I feel better and have stronger abs than I have ever had. Thank you Kara for changing my life.

And you make this easy by providing detailed personalized instruction, coaching and encouragement in each and every session. We enjoy the the blend of mat work and Pilates equipment that is offered in the studio and have significantly benefited from the customized programs that you have developed for each of us. The exercises we learn in the class are readily portable to any location allowing us to work out wherever we may be.

Pilates is a great platform towards building our total health.
